Our longstanding beliefs have proven to be false hopes. Western civilization is rapidly losing power. Paralyzed by its helplessness it has become a spectator of its own decline. We face powerful global challenges of global change, financial collapse and humanitarian disaster – a disordered world.

In my work I have used a crucified pregnant female figure as a symbol of suffering and hope. Following R. Rory’s theory that people are motivated into action for emotional rather than rational reasons, I have created that image to stir the imagination of the viewer who will reach her or his own interpretations and conclusions.
