Marco Ballarin Master degree in Architecture (2011) and Ph.D in Architectural Composition (2015) at Iuav University of Venice about the work of the Paraguayan architect Javier Corvalan. He studied at UCA of Asuncion (Paraguay, 2010) and, as visiting professor, he held conferences at UCA and UNA universities of Asuncion (Paraguay, 2011, 2015), University “Columbia del Paraguay” and National University of Villarrica (Paraguay, 2019), “Universidad Nacional” of Santa Fe, “Universidad Catolica” of Cordoba (Argentine, 2019) and at “Escola da Cidade” University of Sao Paulo (Brazil, 2019). He participated in the XI BIAU (Iberoamerican Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism) and as research fellow he is studying the relation between Latin-American architecture and its worldwide influences. Moreover, as a post-doc researcher he is working on the relation between tidal floods and inhabited spaces. He was part of the curatorial staff for the National pavilion of Paraguay during the XIV Venice International Architecture Exhibition (2014). In 2012 he established the office Babau Bureau with Stefano Tornieri and Massimo Triches in Venice. In 2016 the office co-designed the installation “A new MAM for Sao Paulo” by Brazilian architect Angelo Bucci and was invited to present the project “Poliorceticon” in the XV Venice International Architecture Exhibition. In same year Babau Bureau organized and curated the exhibition “Copritelo con l’edera” at Spazio Punch in Venice. Since 2016 it has collaborated with the curators of the Greek pavilion Venice International Architecture Exhibition, and in 2018 managed the construction of the installation “Ballast” by Brazilian architect Carla Juacaba at the XVI Venice International Architecture Exhibition. The installation “Mausoleo” was selected and built during the Tblisi Architecture Biennial 2018 “Buildings Are Not Enough”. In 2019 the project for the accessibility of Heritage Park of Ceto, Cimbergo and Paspardo, UNESCO site n. 94 (built in 2016) was selected for the EU Mies van der Rohe Award 2019. Babau Bureau was invited to teach at Kosovo Architecture Festival in Pristina and at the HDA of Graz.

Stefano Tornieri Master degree in Architecture (2010) and Ph.D in Architectural Composition (2015) at Iuav University of Venice about the work of Alexandre Alves Costa. He studied at ETSAB Barcelona (2010) and FAUP Porto (2014) as research fellow. He is post-doc researcher at IRIDE Infrastructure Research Integral Design Environment working on climate change in river wetlands and the role of nature in Human Perception.

Massimo Triches Master degree in Architecture (2010) and Ph.D in Architectural Composition (2016) at Iuav University of Venice about the work of Antoni Bonet Castellana, a Spanish architect who worked in Argentina and Uruguay. In 2007 he worked in the office of Nicolas Campodonico Arquitecto, Rosario (Argentina). He studied at ETSAB Barcelona and MSA Manchester (2015). He is post-doc researcher at IRIDE Infrastructure Research Integral Design Environment working on the relation between public space, health and wellbeing.
