In this Carib Futuristic performance art presentation, the spirit of Cariacou’s Shakespeare Mas is transmuted into a digital vocal chorale. Two participants evaluate their place in the world from their small island “wings” of Grenada. We explore the persistent and historic tension that arises from synchronous cultural creolization, how intersecting spirit pathways birth that which is necessary to survive and sometimes thrive in a brand new world. “A Syncretism in Kayryouacou” is a time portal whereby the past collides with the present and perhaps even the future.
